Paycut and furloughs wouldnt surprise me. We are working harder and covering more areas and customers are being dicks because they know everyone will jump through hoops for business and not only are we "lucky" to still have jobs but we should be happy to take the cut. it kills me all of the good ole boys that still have jobs and bring nothing to the company except p-card bills and gas card bills from personal use. Wake up weatherford and start looking into sales and managers and start cutting. The field hands have taken the brunt of the layoffs and cant take anymore....morale is getting worse yet management is feeling too safe in these slow times......
I'm gonna go with furloghs. Already happening in Canada.
Mandatory US furlough?
When is really soon? And why not give us a little hint?????? Don't be scared. ;)
Something is going down. Been too quiet and alot of the closed door meetings again.
Hmm- low oil prices, terrible stock prices, not much future in the oil market, especially at WEATHERFORD with current management. The ship is sinking!
No pay raises is a no brainer. As well as end of year comp for half you sick pay if you didn't use it. As for the rest of the story
Let me guess,"we're sorry to inform you but due to economic conditions we can no longer forge ahead at our current size in a downturn market"!
Really, no shit!
Anything can happen because we are at the mercy of the world economy and the only thing that we can control is cost.
So with that being said just know that every day your employed be thankful.
It could certainly change but for better or worse but not one person knows.
Its just a crap shoot everyday.
It will come back as it does but the days of see trends or patterns like before are over.
Things change to rapidly in this age of instant gratification so the market predictability window has become very small. Good luck to all still employed and also for those less fortunate to find a better job and move pass this experience.
Chalk it up to another lesson in life learned but not to be repeated.
Let me guess---no pay raises this year. We already know that!!!
Who is Hugh?
