I actually went through slb's hiring process and they have now put me on hiring freeze since December'14. Is this thing for real or they just playing? If real, when are they gonna get done with this hiring thing?

I got an offer late 2014 and started January this year. Maybe just your segment but I'm sure there is a huge hiring freeze across the board.
