Target is like a ship with a lot holes. The captain(BC) seems to dump anything or anyone that appears to be heavy to keep the ship afloat. GTKY and all the BS not sure if BC likes it.

Are you talking about controlling bad debt expense on receivables that aren't Targets?

Anonymous113161: not after first quarter 2013. I believe you've spilled some of the koolaid on you. Re read the filing for q4 on the sale to TD and how the $$$ for credit are reported differently since q2 2013

What is the second largest expense for Target after team member payroll? How that is controlled to save money? If you know the answer to these questions, then you wouldn't call FRS not valuable.

Wasn't the capital generated from the sale of FRS partly actually what helped fund that one super successful foray into Canada?

Yeah the portfolio was sold which would just leave any additional generated by the cc. The same cc that customers now have serious fraud concerns about post the breech. To be honest there are some hardeorking people in FRS but not sure why it is operated as a seperste business at this point. there is a lot of redundancy there but it hasnot been touched must have better leadership then IT

FRS has no real value in terms of a sale. Who could possibly purchase it and what value would it have?

Anyone who thinks FRS is worthless needs to pull their head of their ass. Don't confuse how it's being operated with value.

Really not sure TI is an asset to sell. Unless you are committing to outsourcing work in leau of your own team member. In reality you close it down and sell buildings

FRS is worthless and should be cut, but the entire Grocery side of the business has value: http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/07/03/will-target-corporation-sell-its-grocery-business.aspx?source=eogyholnk0000001
