Current Intel employees should look at your Pay Modeling Application page. This page indicates where you stand within the market range for your pay grade. You are in trouble if you are on the high end of this range as management may say "Why have you not been promoted to the next pay grade?" You will eventually fired for "underperformance".

What is exactly a Corrective Action Plan? Is a plan for correcting performance or rather a Plan to get rid of an employee by building a case against him or her?
Focal at intel s---s and is entirely subjective. The best thing that happened to me was redeployment. Three years of 3% increases and stock with no focal BS required.
Hey, I have a quick question? I'm being hired as a Grade 7 research scientist at Intel labs with a base pay of $122,000, plus a geographic pay-scale differential of $17,944. My net base (base + geo-differential) comes to $140K. And the total compensation estimate comes to around $165K. I have no idea if it is a good package, or is it lower in terms of the base pay? Particularly, I would like to know if base pay at Intel excludes the geo-differential, or includes it? I have more than 1-year experience. Responses shall be appreciated.
Hello I am grade 5 and base is 80k. How much is FOCAL important to get a rise from grade 5 to grade 6 ??
Now getting a raise is bad news.
Yes, you cannot work for Intel again. But if you have any self-worth, why would you want to?
I was told that I could not apply for a job within Intel any more. Have been successful all along. Is it legal?

If you are grade 6 at 84k, Intel openly tells you that you should be making over $20k more. You would be stupid if you complain about your pay at Intel since the solutions are obvious.
I'm a grade 6 with a base at $84k.
I agree. I recently joined Intel and have gone through the same jealousy from my colleagues. If these Aholes believe they are underpaid, they should test the job market and get their big raises. Intel has even tried to encourage this through the VSP program. So, I never want to hear such crap from these ingrate, veteran Intel employees.
Nope, base does not include geo diff bonus. In general, long time Intel people are pissed after seeing how much engrs who recently joined Intel are making, which is only market avg. These ingrates should just be happy that they have been lucky to be working for Intel for this long.
Is the $125k base inclusive of the 13% geographical differential(for grade 7 in Bay area)? If not, after added in the 13%, your base will be over $140k. I joined Intel a few years ago, grade 8 and my base is $130k (geographical differential is 8%), and my manager already claimed that my pay is too high.
Anonymous112623, if you are still in Bay Area , it's ok, Bay Area 125k for grade 7 is normal. If you are not in Bay Area now, you have 3 ways to solve your issue(1) ask for a promotion (2) ask for reduce your salary (3) leave intel, back to Bay Area , IBM is building a 3500 software engineers big data division in SFO.
The base pay rate is also depends on location
your grade 7 with 125k base is pretty high.
I am also grade 7 only 105k, below average.
What Intel is doing is outrageous, any one's growth at Intel depends who your manager is, how strong he is and if he likes you. It does not matter how good you are and how your client business groups appreciate, the quality and volume of the work done. If you had crappy managers, and if you are a victim of frequent managerial changes you are at mercy of Intel for no fault of yours.
Sounds like Microsoft
