Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Don't worry about Greece tanking Q stock. Worry more about China's economic decline...

China's stock market just posted a 20+% decline just in the past week. Not good for us, which depends more than 51% of our business specifically in Asia. If the pullback continues, it could really dampen smartphone sales over there. And unlike people in this country, overseas in Asi if speculation goes down, so does consumer spending big time. America is almost the only place where people outspend what they make (on credit)....maybe greece too. Neither of which the Q has focused most of their time and energy these days.

ghost cities need ghost cell towers and ghost users. so there will always be smartphone demand if PBOC has anything to say about it.

My "horrorscope" says: "Beware of outside financial advisors with a major statke telling you how to run your company...." So I guess we can look forward to more of the same as long as Jana is in the picture.

Margin Call!! Don't worry, the chinese version of bernanke will have his "subprime is contained" moment and all will be well. Plus, greek contagion thru EU zone and chinese crash is GOOD! It gives all companies an excuse to miss earnings. It's better than blaming weather or high gas prices.
