Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

US companies like Queercom played with fire in China. And now they are about to get burned... Bigtime...

Looks like that the likes of Qualcomm, Broadcom, Marvel, Intel, etc, etc, have been playing in China's market and to win over concessions, they've been setting up factories, R&D, manufacturing there, so that the locals have gained knowledge. And looks like local players like Spreadtrum, etc, are getting capital infused by the government there to invest more in R&D locally. Gee, imagine that, a country with both the government and the employer trying to build up R&D in that country, rather than just shipping jobs overseas going for the lowest cost option. This is not going to end pretty for U.S. semi-companies I think.
