Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Unemployment Rate Calculations.

I've just learned something NEW this past week, did you guys know that Uncle Sam don't count unemployed people that has run out of unemployment benefits as part of the unemployment rate? So, even if these people are still unemployed with no benefits, the unemployment rate goes down under 6% and Uncle Sam looks good. Last month, the government stated that 252,000 new jobs were created, but most of them are minimum wages jobs? What's the point? Fixed monthly cost has increased 73% since 1990s, wages have stagnant at a paltry 4% increase across the board. There's the One Percenter and then the 99% Working Poor. I see an economic collapse on the horizon.

Watch the "non-farm payrolls" number and how it aligns with expectations. It is what financial industry uses. Unemployment rate is a PR number that Is subject to manipulation.

I suggest you only look at government sanctioned 'everything is going swell' sites from now on lest the anti-hate drones take an interest in you. Remember that the Truth is hurtful and un-NeoAmerican. It might offend someone and make a child cry.

Unemployment rate is also subject to monthly "corrections" which are loosely controlled and can distort the numbers. "Nonfarm Payrolls" is a more trustworthy statistic and is used in the financial industry.
