I think you are forgetting that the current management team IS the same as the last management team. Senior VP just bumped up one level. It is the same bunch of fools you refer to. YOU have never worked there I am guessing. They are not making all this money and are in fact one of the least profitable groups. You need to check your facts. When Edwards was there, it was profitable. He could make decisions on his own without needing a higher level person to do it! Current leader needs permanent backing.

Well Get-your-facts, considering Grant Prideco's performance reports, I would say they've been run into the ground long before the new management team took over. Those guys inherited a SHIT BASKET..
You have obviously never worked at Grant Prideco before (except for maybe being one of the people who are part of the problem.. "WELL THERE IS NO PROBLEM HERE. OUR FACILITIES LOSE GOBS OF MONEY BUT WE OWN MOST OF THE DRILL PIPE MARKET!" Did you ever stop to see whether or not that was profitable?
What's considered one of NOV's most under performing facility? That's right the one we supposedly sold to GE.. you people make me chuckle..
It is being run into the ground NOW!! The last guy at the top knew what he was doing. He could manage people and a business. Since the new guy came, it has gone to hell in a hand basket. You have never worked there obviously. Edwards was pretty good!
New President a year ago, new VP of Manufacturing within the last month. Exactly what people at the top do you want gotten rid of? Seems like they are doing that. The fact is these efforts would NOT be in place if anything like a sell off was going to happen. It would appear that they are trying to improve a facility that has been run in the ground from the last batch of fools that ran it. Instead of worrying about some covert scheme why not try to get behind them and save it, Dave.
