Can't tell you how many meetings I've been in with other IC's this last week, where the final decision on a topic is to defer the discussion to September week 2. Yawn!

135356 sorry I have to disagree. With managers in target India being made as ICs they are most worthless assholes on the block now. Managers who sucked big time on BTS results were made ICs.
Target has shown how inept it is when it comes to RIF. There is no point in being the best performing te as m member, they will slay you just like the worst. Kick back and enjoy the next three weeks. When they figure out what transformation is and who stays, if you are here work hard again. Assume current salary is going towards your mental well being payments for torture they have put us through in the meantime.
I think Target India team is in much better shape than HQ team in terms of technical marketable skills.domain knowledge and opportunities. There are many companies in Bangalore on par with Target or even better (eBay, Amazon, Walmart, TESCO, Lowes, Limited Brands, Yahoo, Intuit etc) in the retail space where the talent from Target will be easily absorbed. If the TI team members expand the search beyond retail there are many more opportunities.
Well, for that matter, other than meetings, 90% of target work force (TM)would do nothing.
135792 - you are f$&!?ing retard, what are you expecting from your manager, to do the tech work, if he/she can, why the f$&@? They need you. If you can't take it work onto become a manager or leave and find a job, where your expectations on managers are met, I dare you to bet, you will get a manager of your expectation. It's what it is, whether you like it or not.

Yyou are missing as you are new at TI. Let it pass one year , then you will know the real picture. If you are delivery manager and above then your comments are correct because that's how management talks. Parasites taking credit for tech work done by engineers. Where else they get free money except target for these fake layers. Wait if they have meetings first they will stop at tech folks to cover the meetings. I even saw management asking tech folks to keep quite as delivery Manager want to be heard over phone. I also seen when a delivery manager having meeting with HQ, they will keep tech member in silent mode and ask questions in IM. Another example..... During meetings with HQ, delivery manager will keep group Manager and other mgrs in the same room so that he can get help in talking with out announcing to HQ..tea......as if group Manager knows the subject. Have several examples Sir...u have time.....this is the TI leadership that is fraud in several ways
I am from Target India. In my division, I feel that the TI team is adding definitely value and are delivering on par with the US counterparts, if not more. Also, the leadership in my division is very effective and sensible. I am not sure why I see the comments like Anonymous135570 made. I am relatively new to Target and don't have lot of history ( Less than 1 year old). Am I missing something?

Nothing new at TI. As TI leadership already gets free money by doing nothing. It's TI. Instead of selling TCW, throw away TI leaders starting from LMG jerks and upwards. You can buy the property instead.
As a member of one of the mentioned teams, you are correct. No one is doing anything (barely). In fact, the BPO has been doing absolutely nothing since the March Rif. No job descriptions, no direction. Some leadership has actually told teams to use the time to work on resumes.
I'm betting much of mid level leadership is sitting back also waiting to see how everything shakes out.
