rumor has it that Wellbore is about to begin massive layoffs in the Houston area at various business units. Anyone else hearing this?

Err this thread is a year old. MM is gone and 50% turned out to be optomistic!
Mike Matta is the biggest moron at NOV. I don't understand why he was even put into that position. Oh wait he and Jeremy Thigpen are best buds! Why would you take the president from one of the worst performing groups, Downhole Tools, and put him as the president of a whole business segment. If the Q3 numbers for Wellbore are worse than Q2 maybe Clay Williams will come to his senses and get Matta the heck out of there. Or maybe the new CFO will quickly figure out Matta is one of the weakest links at NOV. Wonder if Jeremy and Pete Miller left Matta at NOV on purpose. Maybe he's there to help the company fail or he's their mole. Regardless he needs to go and take all of his money spending buddies with him. He is WORTHLESS! I'm sure Oceaneering has a spot waiting for him.

Wouldn't surprise me. Latest quarter showed WT with the lowest profit margin and lowest revenue in the company. It is also the most poorly run. We are hearing around 50%
