assume I'm impacted on mid Sept. Can I directly go away with 2month+1weeks/year pkg?

They offer you to work or work from home until your severance date but you can always ask to leave that day if you sign. They usually say ok. Trust me they don't want you there all upset anymore than you want to be there.
Under the WARN Act, the employer is obliged to pay you the 60 days pay and benefits whether you stay there or not. BUT, whether or not you can get the rest of the GTFO package without actually being there may depend on the terms of the severance agreement. Wait until you get the terms of your severance package in writing. Read it carefully. If you don't understand it, bite the bullet and consult an attorney who is knowledgeable in the field of employment law. 8 )
People will actually be required to work during the 2 months WARN.
I can't believe QC is asking that of people who have just been laid off.
