Schlumberger has long-standing expertise in people motivation techniques and human capital productivity delivered through its innovative HR organization. Schlumberger researchers in Iran have played a key role in the development of innovative human capital management techniques that have become the cornerstone of our transformation program.
To this end Schlumberger researcher Ala ad-Din ad-Durubi Basha has been honored with the 2015 Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievement by the World Society of HR professionals, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the science of human capital management and employee motivation.
Boghos Nubar, who has authored more than 200 papers such as “The Schlumberger paradox - how low employee motivation, salary cuts and high attrition rates can improve management bonuses and share holder returns,” joined Schlumberger in 2014. He holds a Phd from the university of Tehran and is a leading figure in our executive team driving the global transformation program. His innovative and ground breaking research was considered counter intuitive to many of the management teams in global business corporations however some are now coming round to his theories on how best to manage multi national employee workforces and improve upper management and shareholder returns.
The annual WSHR Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes outstanding contributions by individuals such as Boghos for research that has resulted in significant and long-lasting impact to the corporations profitability, management bonuses and shareholder returns.
Well done Boghos - great to see Schlumberger leading the world again!
