Most of the 50+ individual contributors who I have worked with at QC are really smart people. You can really learn a lot from such guys. However, they are a 'dying breed'. Most of them have amassed lots of 'fcuk you money' over the years and left on their own terms. I miss some of these guys and their technical expertise
There were a few at QCOM in their 50's who were excellent, but I have a feeling that they will leave soon, if they haven't already. QCOM's loss. Some of these guys saved QCOM hundreds if not thousands of man hours because they could easily find or figure out the "bugs" in code.
