(Lack of) Leadership

This is what most in the EDMC corporate structure lack, especially in Brown Mackie (examples included):

Basically those at EDMC/Brown Mackie lack empathy, respect, and caring. Sounds like JRnsky doesn't it? And several others. Karma, it always comes back. A quote says, ..."be sure your sin will find you out...". Time - It is only a matter of time.

Now that Papa Ed is leaving, the rest may follow. I'm sure Clem and Rinsky will try to tout themselves as assets to the BMC brand and probably push for their own promotions. They are just two of BMC's version of Ed and have just as much to fail this brand, all the while getting rid of those who actually did perform well even though the two mentioned would never give fair credit. This company is getting exactly what it deserves. Ed is the biggest brick to fall, now the rest of this miserable house will come apart.

3608 that's true. Also, if you have questions he will say, "What does the book say?", then later argue against what the book says. Never does he offer any substantial ideas, just the same regurgitated, word vomit he's said 100's of time before. I guess that is why he hates it when anyone speaks against HIS way. His way doesn't make any sense. He would never be successful in a DoCS position because eventually the business people that are so important to the office's success would see through his line of bull$hit. He is bad for career services and for the students and grads.

If you think about it, he has not sponsored any substantive training about what it means to truly provide customer service to the students. His only tools are fear, threats, and condescension. His methods are sweat-shop methods. It creates an atmosphere where workers are more concerned with quantity than quality.

I know exactly what you mean about JRins. It WILL catch up with him. He's just too arrogant to see what will happen to him. Hostile work environment is the least of his worries. Can't wait for the day when his house crumbles around him. Couldn't happen to a better dishonest guy.

Yes JR has created a hostile work environment for many employees. He has an uncanny ability to make you feel like crap. His treatment of women is horrible. He actually makes me physically sick every time I have to talk to him.

JRins is a discriminating, nasty bully,,and I know that there are several DoCS who are speaking to attorneys and also filing EEOC complaints against the company because of his behavior. He lies constantly and yes, he would throw anyone under the bus. He is a nasty, dishonest, disrespectful, piece of human garbage. Don't worry! If you are one of the DoCS whose life he has managed to ruin, you can rest easy knowing that Rinsky will be out of a job in a few years and will have literally no where to go. There are very few people who would say he is a wonderful leader. He has created a hostile work environment everywhere he goes. Any DoCS would testify in a heartbeat as to his lack of ethics, poor leadership, not providing the proper training for new DoCS.

The bottom line is this...... When push comes to shove, JRins has discriminated against the protected class and is going to face the consequences of his actions. EDMC is in so much trouble right now, what's another couple dozen EEOC complaints? It just so happens that cyber-bullying is now a very hot issue (the media LOVES this issue and I don't think there is any way for the snake, JRinsk, to escape being held accountable for his actions. Unfortunately, combine the discriminatory actions of an immoral, unethical National CS Director (JR) with media hungry for class action lawsuits regarding honest, hard-working people who are honestly trying to help their students make a better life for their families, and the solution is littered with dishonestly.

The center in Chandler has such poor management that I've actually been considering sending an anonymous email to Jim Hobby with specific examples. You know the reason why the students aren't getting their financial aid on time? They laid off 95% of the people that know how to process pre-cert then when they realized the mistake they tried to make up for it by "training" everyone in the building so they could process. Now we're looking at some students upwards of three times because it keeps getting messed up. I'm told that jennifer Robinson is the one making these decisions and when something doesn't go her way of if she doesn't think employees below her are working hard enough then she plays immature little games like hiding their computers and calling them into her office for frequent tongue lashings. How does any of this help solve the problem?

2666, yes, he always makes them up as he goes along. The only time the rules apply "by the book" is when he wants to use them against someone. If you try to use them to do your job, he says that Brown Mackie has higher standards. When you miss a number in some manner he will say it was your fault instead of acknowledging that he simply didn't want to allow a placement for some reason that he'll make up, even though it fit the accreditor and EDMC qualification. He is just a person who manages subjectively. A true as$hole who needs a severe attitude adjustment.

As I read your post I thought this fits JR and then you mentioned him. He can't lead from the heart because he doesn't have one. I think he actually enjoys being mean and belittling people, especially women. You are right. His behavior is bound to catch up to him.
