HR is the fattest kingdom at CHK
Sorry for the typos. Darn phone is too small. ;)
The Operations groups should be worried. I think any of those techs that shuffled in May are good candidates (I'm one of them). Any techs with "needs improvement" should be worried as well. The tech positions are easy entry level positions to fill when things ramo back up. I think some OPs groups also have a few Engineers to spare so any problematic Engineers are probably out. For example on of my Engineers is being "harassed" about sick leave for doctors appointments even with a documented back issue so he'd be an easy cut. Just my thoughts.
Which group has the most fat to trim? I don't know much outside of my group (acct), and our workload doesn't really fluctuate with production or drilling activity. Might they just eliminate a poorly performing asset?
Actually the opposite. I'm pretty sure I'm on the hit list. I've already brought most of my personal items from my office home. I was sincere in hoping they do it quick so those who still have a job aren't stressing over it longer than necessary. I'm one of a dozen looking forward to a layoff. My skills arent O&G specific so I can find something else. It won't be fun job hunting but I don't like the group i got moved to in May and I didn't request to be put there so I'm ready to go.
That's hilarious...oh the poor anxiety ridden people left behind? At your job? Yes you had a job....sounds like you are assuming you will still be there....
I'm hoping it is sooner rather than later. 2013 was a fiasco and I hope it is quick and over with so those left behind aren't anxiety ridden and can focus on their job.
