Just received an email from Chris Doyle informing the BU that VP Keith Yankowsky resigned. A good man. Hate to see him leave. He's no dummy. Probably does not agree with direction of company, decisions being made about it's future and what he will get asked to do. Probably will see others leaving in coming days. Hold on to your seats folks.....it's about to get crazy!

He's going to magnum hunter to be their COO. That's from an official press release and they are significant more levered than CHK. That being said, they haven't sold off their pipeline yet so they are in a little bit better shape.
For layoffs, I would steer you to your earnings release and see that your company took a charge for terminations last quarter, not sure if it was specific to people already released or cash set aside, if so it would correspond to approximately 80-100 employees based on a ratio comparison to the charge the company took for the 2013 layoff.
If you are looking for a job, Hess, BP AmPm (BP's onshore unit) are both actively posting jobs but would likely require a move to Houston. If you are an engineer, go work for a consulting firm (i.e Deloitte etc) and get more stability if you do desire.
Best of luck to everyone. I really suggest getting on the job boards of other companies both inside and outside of oil and gas. Also, I recommend reading all your company's financial releases to find ground truth to some of these rumors.
