Dear HR, please let me know at least two weeks in advance about layoffs so that...I can drop a very large and heavy Agilent RF spectrum analyzer on my foot, fracturing it...so that I can claim worker's comp...and then go out on short term disability....which eventually turns into long term disability....Thank you for cooperation...

OP: Not a good idea--for practical reasons. It can take months of going through paperwork and doctor visits to get workers' comp. Disability--particularly long term and SSI take even longer. We also have one of the most difficult Chief ALJs here in SD when it comes to getting permanent disability. If you're not wheeled in paralyzed and drooling for your hearing, he figures you're okay to work at least part time. Even if you just break a few bones, it's a pain in the ass to fly and drive for job interviews.
F@cking Genious...
Is this qualcomm quality engineer talking? Sell the spectrum analyzer or CMW500s and enjoyi rest of ur life hahahaha u r breaking ur leg as well as instrument .. Do some constructive not destructive work dude
Hey, I was the one that posted that idea originally. It's copyrighted. At least give me credit for it.
It's doable
Find another person and you can both claim that the other sexually harassed you. Then you both file a lawsuit.
Go on long term FMLA for psychological reasons. It's doable. Everyone at this place is crazy stressed, so it's a softer option and easily doable. Ask HR. Hey, HR, this Is doable, right?
Why would you do something like that? Hurt yourself? This has to be a joke.
