Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Does the 15% figure include temps now?

I heard a rumor that the proposed 15% will now include temps and that the actual number might be below 15%. Previously, it was 15% of the full time employees + temps. Is this true?

15% does not include temps or outsourcing that will occur.

It's possible things will get so crappy you will wish you were layed off with a decent package now.

Things will likely get worse as far as work since less people will be expected to deliver more, people will be panicked to get a high rating

for fear of layoff, low performers will be gone so standards are going to go up. Your a mid performer now? Guess what you will be next review?

Another big layoff in the future those severance packages are going to shrink.

Not to mention if In-Hell acquires QCT, more cuts and who says any package will be offered?

Can QC turn things around? I suppose, I hope. But hope is a mistake right?

Historically can anyone give examples? And we have

JANA breathing down our necks and more influence on the company than ever before.

So anyone with an accurate crystal ball feel free to chime in.

geeze....get over these things man...do you think if they dont consider you useful and they reached 15% they will not fire you, they will. so, stop thinking about nickles and dimes with the numbers - qualcomm is not in a good shape and it is very unlikely it will improve in near future. it is in best interest for you that you get your head straight and start looking for jobs.
