I heard that Intel is planning to layoff another round in September due to loss in PC and phones. Expecting huge numbers.

Once BTS numbers are in and 10nm ramp is readjusted as well as capital spending lots of heads will go. Already discussed at MCM and plans based on this schenario have been already approved

this is confirmed...notices start to come Sept 15...pretty big target ~ 20%. FAB/CCG going to be hit-hard. I read analyst report Intel targeting to go down in ~70K headcounts within 1.5 years. this company is doomed..

Layoff is way of life at Intel. Just find a job somewhere else and your worries will be over otherwise a Indian manager will let you go.
wow? Where did you hear this rumor from? PC business seems to be doing well as per last earnings report. BK . I believe there are some redeployments being done in a few groups.
The PC business is very profitable according to the latest earning report 2 weeks ago. The OP is probably thinking of Qualcomm.
