It will continue to evolve but at a slower pace, driven by lower costs and margins. The next era will be driven by SW stacks, cloud services, data mining, etc. Even Apple is struggling to fing the next thing in a monetable cloud service outside HW. As we've seen, it takes 1-2 quarters to become a zero from hero. Things will happen faster and faster. Both HW engineering and patenting will be affected.

5k is one louder than 4k. Mkt cap to infinity
Ehh, Apple is working on an electric car with BMW and 5k television sets. I think they've got plenty of innovation aside from selling touchscreens to kids.
