Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

If you're really a qualified software/hardware engineer and have US citizenship, why aren't you apply for a job at Northrop Grunman?

They'll sponsor your security clearance, and once you get it, you have a lifetime of employment opportunity with virtually no competition....Maybe because you aren't even qualified for those jobs too? Maybe the problem isn't H1-Bs? Maybe the problem is your lack of relevant skills????

The defense industry is cyclical and routinely goes through periods where massive layoffs are the norm.

You losers still have no good excuse for why you couldn't put your money where your mouth is a get a job at a defense company. Let's face it. You either aren't a real engineer, or you've gotten to fat, lazy, and unskilled doing some stupid/dead end job at the Q such that you no longer are able to do anything remotely useful outside of the company. And that's why the threat of a job loss, bothers you so much .You realize your shitty skills and your laziness is going to hinder your next job, so you find the best excuse for yourself.

"Where do you think CDMA came from"

Stop living in the past Sanjay. QCucks are always talking about the past, during the good 'ole flip phone days. Nobody cares about CDMA. GSM works just as good if not better.

You never hear Intel talking about 'where do you think the Pentium II came from'

You never hear AOL talk about "r-remember when we used to send you instant messenger and 500 hours free compact discs!??"

QCOMM was/is a one trick pony and the circus is over.

Anonymous129163 and Anonymous129162, HAHAHHAHA... I'm pretty sure that grow in income at a defense company is going to be better than being a pinked-slip-Q, wouldn't you agree? Beggars can't be choosers. Man, some of you folks are self-entitled. Holy shit, I expect to get paid $200k+ despite the company prospects being gloomy at best....Yeah... No wonder Q is sinking like the titanic. You have no clue what "lean and mean" really means

That's bullshit excuse, people. Especially if you are actually an Qualcomm employee. Where do you think CDMA came from? Where do you think spread spectrum's primary use came originally from (though it was frequency hop, not direct sequence)?

Who wants to take a pay cut? Nice try at deflection. Doesn't excuse QC from taking good jobs away from well qualified Americans so they can bring in cheap labor Indians.

You could be working on the F-35 too. Again, why aren't you whiners about job security applying for those jobs???Let me guess, no stock options, doesn't pay enough???? (insert your favorite excuse...anything but the most likely reason: you don't have relevant skilsl)
