Way to many do-nothing family members/managers/supervisors have nothing to do after the layoffs. Lots of 'em at the Corporate office. Pretend to work, come in when you want, take hours for lunch, sleep in late, socialize the rest of the day and leave early whenever you feel like it. Gladly give you the names of all those slobs who are milking NOV & give nothing back in return.

No I don't work in Conroe. I'm at the Corporate Office. Company credit card abuse by managers is typical here. Manager takes out family members and friends to steakhouses, 5 star restaurants, often and does other bogus spending. Expensed out using scam receipts. Pay attention!!!
Corporate smug here. Been here for 15 years now. Haven't you heard? We get all the benefits and all the extras. We are the GOLDEN child of NOV. The rest of you at other locations are the goats and the ghosts. Sorry but that's just the way it is. Why do you think you all try to transfer here. I don't mind but it's the troublemakers who get transfered from manufacturing that ruin everything for the rest of us here at Corporate who do have degrees and experience. Those who get transferred here with no education and no experience cause all the trouble especially those who left a spouse at the manufacturing plant they once worked at. Quality has gone down hill here. Someone said at another thread, it's not what you know but who you know. Well that just proves what I'm saying...they are manipulating their way into corporate. No degree and no experience. I'm not talking about those who've gone to school to work for a degree to better themselves once they transfer here. It's the moochers and the leeching troublemakers who come here and don't know anything, wreak havoc between employees, cause the company more trouble than they are worth, they warm a chair for a few hours while surfing the net or sit back at home and collect a paycheck. Their supervisor is fully aware, cover uo for them. People with families who really need a job are getting laid off. That's beyond obscene.

How about the managers with the company credit card. Spending and spending and spending. Aren't you managers suppose to use that card for business purpose only? Last time I checked taking your friends and family out to breakfast, lunch, dinner and personal events wasn't included. Oh and you allow employee to use your card too?
I work in corporate too. I agree with The Rev. To many family members/spouses and do nothing managers & do nothing non managers who need to go especially the toxic ones. Here's just a sample of what we hear and see. You've got your married employees but they try to hide this. We know. Stop thinking you can scam everyone. Feeding each other information to carry on with your own personal interest and personal agenda. Don't think people don't talk. If you think they don't you're a fool. Then you've got your old dude scalping football and baseball tickets to employees, even go as far as turning tricks over the phone to get them tickets sold. You've got some nerve whining like a little bish about everyone & your job you aren't even qualified for. Lots of younger dudes who'd love to take that job you complain about right off your lazy arse. One less toxic person we won't have to listen to whine & complain.Then you've got the the same toxic person day-in and day-out with the same excuses, constant personal issues who's drama-driven trying to get away with putting in a 2-day work week, min of 4 hours. When you're in the office all you do is seek attention from those who are tired of dealing with your crazy self. I'd tell you this in person but you're a wacko & I need my job.
I work in corporate and we loss 70% of my team. Corporate is not immune to this at all.

I would not say that Rev sounds like a B***h in my book. Sounds like a lot of people who tried to do the right thing for the company and worked hard and is resentful of the large "do nothing" crowd that routinely gets in the way of those doing real work. The volume of people in corporate that claim their standing around, drinking coffee and conversations save the company hundreds of millions every year is extremely high when in reality they are actually just draining the company of payroll and taking up space for someone who could really be saving the company millions. After a while anyone who cares will get resentful and there's a lot out there to garner some resentment.
Rev sounds like a b***h in my book. Has to hide behind a screen crying about how everyone else does their job. But it's sounds like the majority of employees in this company, quick to put someone out to try to move up on the ladder. Face it, it's reality, it's not what you know, it's who you know that allows you to move around. You act like to pay out your pocket to these employees who don't do much. No matter what you contribute, this company will never appreciate what you give in. So buckle up and enjoy the ride.
