Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Bystanders will not be untouched, as TTS goes, so goes many in HQ

My work depends on the approval and funding of projects that must be supported by TTS . If TTS is cutting headcount, obviously they must be scaling back plans to support projects and initiatives of their clients. If the people in TTS who generally execute the technical work of my pyramid's projects (and this has always included people who appeared to be branded 'non-technical' now) are let go, projects will be cancelled or postponed, my department will have too many people with not enough work, they will lay off TMs in our area even though we've already been cut. The effect of the next big wave of cuts will surely ripple out and touch many of us.

Oh stop it - where do you work that TTS doesn't get the deliverables to you? It seems that the naysayers are the ones posting on this site, I hope its clear that this is not the experience across the board - maybe your ability to communicate the requirements and deadlines are what really suck, and if that's the case, failing to work as a team won't get better if you are working with Accenture or IBM.

Maybe MM is smart and will outsource the whole IT ORG to Accenture or IBM. Heck maybe move everything out of the datac enters as well. When your IT organization cannot deliver its probably the most sane option at this point.
