U.S. Guys don't work for long time they only work 8-4 .. All innovation and hard work is done by H1Bs so layoff anyone is bad ..

@126871: No wonder! You can be so nonchalant about the layoffs, because you have no stake in QC anymore. Well, there are thousands of lives at stake here. There is no point in defending QC.

@126859 I already left Q and found another job , so i left voluntarily 3 month back. I hope you are not effected you seem educated and logical sometimes.

@126859: We will see what is your opinion of QC, when you are put on the chop block. No one is immune. You will hate everything that dragged QC down to this state.

@126853 No one has brought me here to temper down any thing, i am just stating the fact, this is your problem that you are ready to believe all bad things written on this webpage but think this one is sponsored by Q. I guess its end of discussion from my end, as your narrow mindedness clearly showed in, lack of debate and argument at the same time. My Manager at Q had a postcard on his desk, a writing saying, you can educate un-educated people but you cant correct some one who is blantatly stupid or something. @126850: QC has brought on pros to temper the activities on this board. I understand your responsibility. QC culture has gone down the toilet since it decided to trade its tradition for quick hires. Good people in QC are being dragged down by the bad apples.

@126833 I am sorry you had bad experience. But reading at post last few weeks seems not everyone thinks like you. You may go and read those if you haven't . Also i believe you are free to talk to HR or and Sr VP if you think that's the issue, but dont generalize thousands of Q workers based on select few.

@126833: I don’t blame the H1B for trying to get into QC and come to US. In some ways they are victims, too, like the migrant workers from Mexico. However, what we have now is a culture created by people who are doing things for personal gain and H1B willing to participate. The groups protect themselves like gangs.

Several H1B reports to me and they get paid the same as everyone else.

@126829 I hope you know upper management and HR have to support the hiring of anyone irrespective of citizenship. So even if select few people did that, how is it possible they did that without the approval of HRs or Sr VP and Directors who control it indirectly ? At-least in my department every hiring was controlled by Sr VP not even director ? In that case we can say that even US citizens or white guys are involved in this slow number of false hire for their gain. Again how can you totally blame the people who apply for jobs ?

@126818: Yes, we are talking about two different groups of H1B. US degree holders come through a different track that requires vetting through attending the schools here. They are mostly legitimate hard workers. A small number of those US degree holders know how to use the consultancy route to bring in H1B for financial gain, in forms of referrals and salary kickbacks. This number has grown to a critical mass taking on a life of its own, in trading favorable reviews and hiring only Indians. This is big problem in QC.

@126814 Reading your language and your statements, it seems you belong from a non-english speaking country as well, i.e Asia most probably.

@126814 I don't think that is correct. I have worked at Q for 3.5 years, they hire people on H1 who have a US MS or PhD degree. You can't just put statements here without any support or based on rumors.
