Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Go back to high school. And college. Get a real, relevant education. Learn to spell "meritocracy". Learn which continent India is part of. Indians are considered to be part of "Asians". Stop b***thing about Indians. They work hard. Really hard. They know what it is to put in 70 hour weeks. Week after week. The competition in India is ferocious. Utterly ferocious. The cut-off scores in many colleges are 99.8%. Yes, you read that right. It has taught them to be survivors. They're natural at STEM. It comes very naturally to them. If you don't know what STEM is, google it. And if you had to look it up, see my first sentence (Go back to school and college). It's taken a much much higher effort (and IQ) for them to get where they've gotten as compared to the effort you've put (and your IQ) in to get where you've gotten. Please stop being a racist. Yes, they play cricket and socialize with other social families - it's a cultural thing, they're very close knit (just like most South American or East European countries and societies). it IS a meritocracy (not "meretiocy"). It you keep doing what you're doing, they're going to continue to eat your lunch. It is 2015. Yes, those "smelly" Indians are ALL here in this country legally. They Pay their taxes. And their Social Security and Medicate, although most will never see a dime of it in their lifetime. They abide by the law. Never do drugs. Or Alcohol. Or violence. Their kids don't get tattoos. Their kids put in more work after school than you do during your office hours. Their kids sets their goals high. Very high. Very early. Go speak to an 6th grader or a 9th grader kid of an Indian parent. You will understand. They own tomorrow. Day after tomorrow, their kids will be the boss of your kids. Yes.

I am a white Intel manager and love to hire Indians. I know Indians are the majority at Intel, so for me to get agreements with cross functional groups, I need to hire Indians on my team to relate with those groups. Also, at meast these Indians in my group are those who I can control.

I am an Indian Intel manager in Oregon. I am disturbed by all of this racism. I make an honest effort when hiring, but it just turns out that most qualified applicants just happened to be Indians.
