My school is trying to operate in a "business as usual" mode, but it's fooling no one. The students say the teachers seem very depressed (don't know why...).
Other problems include: being told to placate the students who have huge problems academically; lack of improvements in equipment; administrators cutting therir hours back because, well, they can.
We were also told to expect to be open until 2019. The students returning after break was what I expected - quite light. My first class was supposed to be 24 students. Fourteen showed up. I had an average of 6 student no-shows in each class. How is THAT going to stretch into 4 more years of a job?
Would love to hear others' experiences.
