I did meet and consult with an employment lawyer here in AZ. As my circumstances related to my SSL4/5 award were questionable in my mind as I left the group in February prior to focal tool closing and I am sure that they left me the dog poop SSL5 as a parting gift which I felt was unjustified. However after meeting with Lawyer we discussed the merits of the case and what effort and cost would be associated. As we all know anyone can sue for anything given enough time/money/resources. The lawyer stated that my case is circumstantial and that he would expect Intel to drag it out and also request that it be moved from Superior Court to Federal court which would be about 2 years before any trial. He also stated that Arizona is a "At-will employment" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/At-will_employment) state and they are legally within their rights to discharge/fire anyone at anytime if they don't violate federal law (discrimination, whistle blower, etc). Using unknown performance criteria for letting people go does not violate those laws but does qualify as a shitty thing to do!!
So bottom line is that I did finally accept and sign the separation agreement given I had slim to no chance of success given the details of the At-Will employment information.
