While I still can't believe the layoff announcement that has come as a rude shock. For qualcomm to retain key contributors that are working in the key product areas, they should be notified immediately and given assurance that their positions won't be cut. Else, we may lose some brilliant minds due to the uncertainty that the announcement has created.

Q should keep the top 10% and start over . They don't need workers, they need innovators and leaders that blazes a trail for others to follow.
I am not understanding why they are taking feedback now. There shd be history already. Based on that they shd take decision. I see this is not going to end and its better for QCOM and people if they follow correct process to decided on whom to send. Over last 3 years lot of junk got accumulated. Just tell them facts 40% of employees are staff and sr.staff. in bdc most stop working with aspirations to become managers and directors. I wish QCOM to become best company as it was.

If they have intelligence to be key contributors ,they should be first ones GTFO from this sinking ship.

How and who will determine "Key Contributors"?. Everyone thinks that they are Key Contributors..I think thats why they are accelerating review process.
