There is no transparency in the team. Manager is worst and he is not capable, playing all internal politics to safe guard his own position and his friend's position in the team.

We have the same problem worth the Data Management Group in the San Diego office. Already beginning to see divisions within the team. It's a lie like "Survivor". Like the shitty series, the asskissers/backstabbers will prevail. Sad. So your not the Lone Ranger in Chennai.
This is not just prevailing in Chennai team, this is very common problem in almost all team like modem, gfx software/hardware, multi media. Managers and leads have reached by virtue of years of experience or ass licking skills. They are scared of engineer under them.and so playing internal dirty politics to.create fight inside.team and enjoy mess blaming working engineers
