Will they clean up the lowly engineers first and just hand over more work to the remaining senior, staffs, senior staffs etc?

Agree. Many many many senior staff don't do shit. I know one in a group of 60 individuals who thinks he brings value by running a daily morning meeting to ask for status of the obvious and to micromanage about the obvious.
Yes, likely since engineer level is considered engineer in training, cannot do much without mentoring ang help from more senior guys. No more traing for them... Howerever, I know many senior, staff, senior staff do not know crap and cannot do much so chop all of them
Don't worry. Pretty soon, all ranks will be unemployed.
If they are smart,they should not BUT why to wait?
