Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

We grew cocky, we grew spoiled, we grew fat

That's the issue, there was and still is a huge sense of entitlement here - all of us. We forgot the days when it was hard to make a buck, and we got spoiled with perks, bonuses, RSUs, nince pay, free food, and all other perks. Now, things are changing and that's hard - we were betrayed by our leadership team which lacked vision and ability to execute - it's as simple as that. Now, roll up your sleeves and let's go back to knock it out of the park

you're right - engineers did in fact build this company. So why don't a bunch of you laid off engineers build your own company. ExQualcomm engineers starting new company looks pretty good to us VCs out there.

Speaking as a stockholder we lost because we paid to much for bad leadership.

Speaking as an employee working 60-80 hour weeks, we lost because we replaced a constant effort to innovate with stifled and structured push button engineers and replaced vision with pet projects.

My employer number is not that low, it's four digits, but it's like enough that I have seen and recognized the missteps that brought us here.
