Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

It works like this for steam-loosing QCT:

  1. Successful enterprise, quickly loosing market in maturing industry. Also mismanaged during fast growth (saw this at Nortel) becase sense of ownership is gone. *

  2. Polish it up QUICKLY, and get profitability close to target = 20% which for HW is not bad *

  3. Breakup and sell it QUICKLY to unload the dud while cashflow positive *

  4. Life goes on ***

This is business guys. Works by if A - B > 0, continue; else break

If you use "break" in an ifthenelse, you've been at qualcomm too long as a "software" engineer....I'd recommend you brushing up on best software practices and design patterns before interviewing.
