He has no leadership skills whatsoever to lead the efforts of his 35+ reports, our group is failure and I feel ashamed of belonging to it. The biggie is coming and he keeps hiring people for whom he doesn't really have a project. It seems he only wants to keep his headcount and replace the guys that have left for greener pastures. BTW, something going on with the reviews, I know my review is getting boosted since people from other groups are very unhappy and complaining about our group not delivering. I always get all 5 starts but I know best is not real. I EVEN GOT MY RAISE AND BONUS WITHOUT THE REVIEW SHEET! That happened a few years ago. Your buddy needs to retire!

Anonymous122175: Yes HR and VP's supervisor they both responsible for ensuring that this VP doing his job honestly ( lot of dating/sexual relationships within company is against company policy specially for staff with supervisory power)..If you have some evidence of it report to HR or whistle blower hotline to get ball rolling....company can not retaliate against you for reporting this( its illegal)..and actually that may help you avoid layoff all together...

Ditto in my group and 2 other groups I am familiar with... I think QC need to get outside unbiased consultants to review team structures and weed out this crap..
@122041: The director is toast. He should know better than to leave himself in a compromising position. Take some photos, preferably naked ones. When you get booted, he will be the first one to go. It is sad to resort to this tactic, but QC management culture has created a bunch of SOB’s.

I work in particular ASIC group and my director is an old SOB. I have done some amazing designs and my skills are unique to the group but I dont get along with him. Maybe cause I have a PHD and he is an undergrad? This MF still hasnt given me my rewards statement. I know he has delivered them to others. I cant tell HR since he is sleeping with her. What else can I do?
