Well as the title suggests you are not obligated to be loyal to NOV and them to you, so instead of feeling so down get even. Take their contacts and leads, hell even their goddamn stationery while you are at it! At least when you are laid off you don't feel so bad.
Also why work so hard when the management and corporate are padding themselves? Just look busy, brownnose and learn what you can and tive nothing.
