What nobody has mentioned is the unwritten policy that once you are at the top of your grade pay range, your salary is capped and so are your stocks. There will be little to no increases. If you are grade 7 and above, an outstanding qualifies you for SSL3 - that is the best they can give you. Anything else is SSL4 or 5. That way by design HR and BK can then lay you off for repeat poor performance. Due to "focal budget" management usually chooses to give more stock/outstandings to the cheaper employees to retain them, dumping the Successful SSL4s on the older employees who are then "ripe to be fired for performance issues". P.S. Are any of the folks that are "capped" at their grade range and got better than SSL3?

@Anonymous120635: I used to trust my manager, but now not him either. I've never thought of things in every man for himself terms until this happened.
It would be more fair, but piss more people off, if Intel publishes the pay range of only Intel employees in each pay grade
So how do certain people save themselves and convince HR that they shouldn't be laid off? If Intel is following a certain criteria, why wouldn't it pertain to everybody that meets that criteria?
It's funny how the most popular internal blog is from a guy on the ISP list. However, he has been saved somehow, as if he is more special than others on ISP list. Intel really knows how to add insults after insults on people already down.
The pay range available to employees is different than the one available to managers. I was told I was maxed out but a friend manager showed me the max and I was not even in the mid range. Intel is a fraud company.
Exactly what they did to me. I was maxed out for grade 8 and really didn't want to move to grade 9. The problem they will have moving forward is chaos after focal with whoever gets SSL4. Best thing to do is get the hell out of Intel ASAP otherwise your life will be miserable. This company is poisonous.
I am already told by my previous manager that i am already making max allowed in grade 6. Not sure if i am going to get any increaze on salary this year or what kind of ssl i get. He said 1 option is to ask for a promotion......i always had success rating ....4 years at intel......btw i dont trust intel or bk....anymore
