These numbers are all BS see glassdoor.com for the real numbers. Senior staff makes about $180k with all components (stocks, bonus, salary) counted.

I don't have 10~15 yrs exp though. I got $200K when I was a staff software engineer. I expected to get $250K when I got promoted sr staff. The fact is that I still got $200K because 1. Cash bonus was shrinking significantly. 2. QCOM stock price dropped a lot.

I ended up with accepting a job offer from the other company with $340K/yr compensation.
