They will have to keep something in BVO. SLB cannot afford to sell that property due to all the soil contamination underneath it. Between the foundry and the test well, The EPA would love to fine them for what is in the ground. Then there was the time that Phil Standridge was working as a technician in the test well. They needed to test a P110 and it was too big to put through any of the normal flow loops. Phil was told to take the 5" flex hose and drag it outside to put directly into the sewer. It was a pretty long distance and the hose was quite heavy. Phil decided to put it into the nearest drain he could find. The pump was started up. A few people who were sitting on the john at the time in the employee restroom got launched off their thrones. George Schneider had is own private restroom at the plant and it was plastered in brown. There were a lot of angry people that day. My favorite part of BVO was the big sign over the entrance showing number of days without LTI. It never got out of single digits.
Sorry to hear this
That place was so inefficient it was only a question of time
Heard there might be a few left that are out on vacation.
