Any good VP or marketing would tell you that a rumor was not true and unfounded before it came out. He was just doing his job. Imagine this, if he was to say something like “we categorically deny parts of this rumor”. That would be end of his time at QC.
109228: Yeah, I read the transcript, too, and my first thought was: What has this guy been smoking? This will be the 2nd casualty of the 810s. The first was when Q announced the layoff last November, and most of the officers and directers quietly sold off a lot of their stock.
Definitely will be a pivotal earnings call. Executive Management has promised more details on where cost savings will come from. Stay tuned...the call will drown out the HR BS
