It's that kind of arrogance that got Target into the spot it's in! It's almost as ridiculous as the fact that Target has its own gift shop...

Agile and scrum is ridiculous. Just more words they can throw at the media to make it look like something is happening. In truth though many other companies are also adopting agile, coes, and scrum. It's a fad just like ted talks which are also worthless. Real money and business success is made by hard work and common sense. Not fads and facades.
Reply to 108321 - oh ya it's 108292 again. Management keeps telling us we are all moving to agile like it's a magic pill that will solve all our problems. Well, guess what, I have been on an agile team for the last year. It does work, but only....only if everyone jumps on the band wagon and we are a long way away from that. Plus it has a high chance of burning out our engineers once they get on board because there will be a high want to get things done without the understanding of using sprints as building blocks toward the long term end goal. As we just heard in a recent training session, if people are running around saying we are using agile multiple times a day, then it is likely we are not using it (EDABI training sessions held last week). Specific enough for you 108321! So wipe your 25 year old nose and let me know when you have experience and have delivered on some key company initiatives....then maybe, just maybe I will respect anything you have to say.
108273 ... Target's use of COE isn't arrogance. It's a fairly common industry term. So common even Wikipedia has heard of it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_of_excellence (which means the bar is set pretty low for it to be so new you've never heard of it).
108292 ... please don't post about something being related to agile until you can prove you have a clue about anything (because your comment seriously casts doubt on your credibility and only an idiot would attempt to defend your comment as anything as clueless).
But it's part of being a new Agile team and we need the Target dogs, toys and matching T-shirts so we all know which scrum room we belong to
