My salary got cut by 50%. Heard there are some with salary cut up to 75%. Anyone experience salary cut?

I don't know about the legality of cutting someones salary by 50% or 75%. If this is true, this is definitely a ploy to avoid paying severance. I know some one with IM status was offered to change the status into HC. Either way SLB wins and the employee lose. If the employee accepted, SLB wins by saving tons of IM benefits, and if the employee rejected the offer he will have to quit and SLB wins by not having to pay severance. This is really bad and sneaky.
My salary was cut 50%
from SLB Asia here. got cut 75%, am looking for new job now. It's like they want to fire you, but doesnt want to give you your severance pay. They want you to quit on your own.

Anyone who gets their salary cut 50% and doesn't quit knows they were overpaid for their skill set and were just flying under the radar. Be happy they didn't cut you the full 75% although probably deserved. Use what you have saved and buy some new kneepads. It will be money well spent.
