Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Patience

Don't expect magic. I will probably slice and dice the organization in a way the people who's "got what it takes" will feel energized and engaged for the long run, and the people who think the workplace is a country club will leave on their own.

Also, whoever thinks that you can just sit tight and await for a severance package if you "don't qualify", you will realize that you will end up leaving on your own because you will not stand the rigor, the rhythm and the real work.

In the meantime, update your resumes. The old lazy days of working at Target are over.

Uh people, do you really think that MacNamara would post something like this on a public job board? You really think the shareholders and target would align themselves with a leader who would post something like this in a public forum? Especially using his real name so that the media could eat that up?

I don't want to be too forward but can we call you Mac? That rolls off the tongue a little easier. Plus if you are going to fire me, Mac sounds more friendly. Just asking.
