Point made. Anon102002 is the perfect example as to why this company is in the shape its in. Bad attitude and unwarranted remarks. Anon 101717 is correct. It is the employees that make a company prosper. Management needs to see and understand that. They need to get rid of people like 102002, because they only bring morale down with their constant bad mouthing and complaints.

I honestly don't believe Weatherford as a whole is a bad company. I think USA Weatherford is incompetent. Here is the problem, in my opinion of course, if you consistently treat employees as if they don't matter just to make a buck you will not get the best performance from these employees. If you do not pay each individual for their abilities, they tend to decrease their performance. If you consistently let employees make errors and do not provide consequences for these errors you will have trickle down affects. If management continues to play the "friend, lover, buddy, family" cards then they no longer get respect. Which results in poor performance from really good employees. It starts with upper management showing they care for ALL employees. To do this you must increase pay per individual performance, not across the board. You must let go the employee that is not doing their job, as in abusing time and constant errors etc. It's all about the employees really. From management down and when you realize that it is all about the employee and not the all mighty dollar, well, Weatherford would be a great place to work.

No, Baker Hughes is the worst by a mile. Completely dysfunctional at all levels of management.

Yep - normally when you have a bad performance you get fired. Isn't that the whole point of PM systems.

So as a CEO you can run a company into the ground whilst picking up multi million so called performance based bonus incentives along the way. I would like a job such as this where my salary goes up and up whilst my performance goes down.

American capitalism at its best!

They are by for the worst run major oilfield service company in the world at this time. They have been for awhile now. The board of directors would like nothing better than to get rid of Bernard, However, with his golden parachutes, etc. they would have to borrow the money to get rid of him. Who is going to loan them the money? Then who would be foolish enough to want to inherit a company in such bad shape as WFT?

Ummm.. It's not the company that is bad its the operators meaning senior management/cooperate. They are the ones with authority and power. But those money hungry pigs don't care about the people in the bottom. They hire some terrible criminal managers, they allow for nepotism and favoritism to go on. No all managers are bad cause I've worked for some good ones. At the end of the days its all about the money! Safety, respect, honor, loyalty, all go out the window. Weatherford is poorly managed and it puts them in a tight spot. Of course all the big wigs will get good severance and bonus once this is all over. God bless America, land of the greedy!

No , but if upper management works really hard and puts a fair amount of dysfunctional thought into it , it will possibly be close to one of the best dystopian style oil companies ever !
