Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

BTS Underway

They changed all the questions to give leadership cover from all their screw ups. Just say you are so excited about the future and you'll be promoted in no time.

I appreciate the BTS, another way for TMs to give feedback. I've always been honest with my input and I don't worry about the repercussions. Go Twins!

I am happy not to be there for this tedious and useless process this year. It is sad to see how hourly team members hold the BTS over executive's heads. Makes for a lot of pointless chat sessions and extra work that could be spent doing something productive. And focus leaders can't move! Guess what, you just got yourself stuck with your leader for a whole extra year because now they can't go anywhere, genius! Enjoy your 5 minutes of "power."

If you are so unhappy, go work somewhere else! Why stay somewhere that just makes you complain and whine? GOOO. My guess is that either you can't get another job and you are LUCKY to have one at Target (not entitled.... Lucky) or that you really know Target beats most retailers in terms of how they treat their employees, but you still choose to bitch and moan.

Hey 99885, what do you mean 'lower than last year's''? They had just laid off Gregg when the BTS came out last year and I don't know about your team's BTS but ours went completely neutral. Many of the responses were 'Don't Know', or 'N/A' or whatever the neutral response was. I don't see it getting worse than a uniform flat line. When we got the feedback it seemed that 100% ambivalence was worse than criticism.

I lied on my BTS, which pained me because I'm not normally a liar, and I have worked in different divisions in the past (I'm in HR now) where truthfulness in the BTS brought about substantial positive change. The team I'm on now learned last year however that our manager A). Can't take even the mildest constructive criticism without turning venomous on US, and making us pay 10X over for giving one low mark, or, B). Her manager rubbed her nose in this mild feedback and whipped her like a hound. Or both things could be true. Either way, I filled it out saying that everything was rosy and I hope it pays off in that we don't need to be tied to the mast and beaten every quarter in our 'Team Building' sessions. This is sad because as I said, in the past I have worked for managers who really wanted to know what made the team tick and what could they do to improve culture, equipment, flexibility, etc. to make TGT a better place.

I read in an online that Target came in as the high price alternative for .com shopping.....how is that a winning strategy to get behind.

Its not anonymous... how does it know you already clicked on the BTS link if you do it on different machine and browser?

I am guessing the results will be a lot lower this year then previous years unless people really are going to lie and score it high.

BTS is such a bunch of f***ing shit, and is nothing more than another opportunity to play the typical political game in typical Target political game fashion. Also, Jodee Kozlakkkk sucks my ass.

Lying to leadership is a best practice at Target.
