SLB can afford to have tons of layoffs, the have overkill on personnel and no concept of work ethic anyone can wear more than 1 hat. It takes a team of 20 to change a light bulb at their office, just think working on a customers well, having 2 - 3 times more personnel there to assist, when a more competent smaller company can out perform them with 1/2 the personnel. HES & BHI are the same.
