Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Shameful

If you are thinking about working for this company here is what you should understand..Noble, as a condition of your employment, will require you to be actively involved with their chosen charities. Managers will hold this over your head more as "stick" than a "carrot". Mind you none of the managers will be out on Saturday or Sunday donating any of their free time. However, they will expect you to be there. And so you will be expected to be a good soldier and do this. Also understand that when it comes to layoffs no one will remember any of your donated time... it will be worthless to your credit. What they will remember is mistake that you may or may not have made four years ago. And based on that mistake they will lay you off. Especially if you are a senior employee and they want to be rid of you.

You should know!

There is a guy in Denver (manager) who spends more time on his side deals that he does on Noble business. Buys leases in Noble drilling prospects and cashes in big. He is not dumb enough to do this under his own name he has his buddies do his dirty work.

The new Noble Energy Charity Event is the Eastside Crawfish Boil run by the S. TX operations manager. It is his party that he and some friends started in Austin while in college. Donations fund the beer, crawfish and festivities while attendees bring some items etc that the organizers donate to charity so they can write the whole party off as a fundraiser. If you work for him, donate, donate, donate and you will be rewarded in promotions and perks. If you do not donate say goodbye to Noble. Google Eastside Crawfish Boil Austin and you will see what I mean.

The only charity events managers bother to show up for is a free day of golf on company time. They are all over that!

The Officers and Directors are too busy trying to count all the loot from insider stock sales. I have never seen a company with so much insider selling. This has gone on for years. One director has got to be up over $350MM now. The Noble team makes the old CHK Officers and Directors look like neophytes. This February NBL issued 21MM more shares of common stock. Free public money. From what I can see the end was near before the price drop. Both negative free cash flow and debt accelerating for years. How have they slithered under the radar for so long? Nothing involving Wall Street makes sense anymore.
