Wan Op is a thing of the past. Opnet was only aquired to mask the declining growth of Riverbed, and to create the illusion of revanue growth. That plan worked short term. In 2013 and 2014 less then 30% of the salesforce attained their annual quota, however Riverbed basically met wallsreets expectations both those years. They heavily over goaled the salespeople, which created an entire salesforce of disgruntled miserable bastards that had absolutely nothing motivating them, except the for pompous nasily words of Jerry feeding his workforce such apparent garbage that nobody ever believed a word out of his god damn mouth for the last few years. On top of this layoff, not one remaining salesperson is happy, and a true mass exodus is just around the corner. However, none of this even matters. Everyone that sank the ship is making it rain 100 dollar bills at the gold club strip club right by headquarters. It's too late to fix anything. Thoma Bravo basically just spent 3.5 Billion dollars on a fax machine. If you still work at riverbed, milk those rat bastatds for every penny. Take vacations, surf Facebook, stream Netflix, stream spotify, watch porn in your cube, show up late, leave early, no call no show, blow off meetings and walk around like you own the joint because nobody even gives a flying F*CK anymore because EVERYONE is looking for job's. BTW.....I'm RIiiiiCH BiYaaatch. Thanks RVBD!

SO true! Has to be top 10 worst places to be in sales now. Too many mid level managers that don't do anything, nobody has the balls to fire anyone, and NOBODY is making any real money. There are 100's of scorching hot companies out there. No reason to work at Riverbed anymore. I left 2 years ago. It was like that then, and my friends who still work there have said its only gotten worse. The acquisition proves it.
Same experience in Pro Serv which is officially part of sales in Riverbed. In US and EMEA, the "manager" rankers have no clue about the industry and are at least 10 years backward in technology. But boldly claims they are "managers and architects" and treats everyone else like morons.
You do make a great point regarding the culture of sales. I am still employed at riverbed in sales in the field, and it is true that hardly anyone hits quota, or even gets near. Upper management never addresses this, however it is the elephant in the room. They have swept it under the rug for so long, its truly displayed a lack of concern for the success of their sales force. They treat us all like morons, but constantly preach how great the company is. Its insulting. I'm looking for a job, and every single person in sales is as well.
I f***in' like the way you pictured out the real life at RVBD. Unfortunately, I didn't get rich in this company
