Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Coincidence? I think not.

Anyone notice that Dan Sullivan decides to step down right before the massive bloodletting begins. Michelle Sterling has no heart, so she won't give a second thought to giving 5,000 people their walking papers.

Steve Now more than ever need good HR at the Q. Biggest challenges ahead. Agree Michelle Sterling expert at layoffs. She has low quality education and now hear she has another personal business and has a QC boyfriend she lives with and that she did not raise her own daughter. If all true is thus best we can do? Were others considered? Steve , did you and the team interview anyone?

Hey DS, all of you big shot qualcomm executives, learn from PJ! This guy really new when to step down, great timing. As he bragged in his goodbye letter, he more than triple the company market cap during his direction leaving all you the stinky task of dealing with that China b!tch of the NDRC and the layoff biggie that is cooking. Learn from the winners.

Anonymous94877 - I didn't see it on the list for 2015 @ http://fortune.com/best-companies/. I see in 2013 it was 11, then dropped to 23 in 2014, and now off the list in 2015, if this was the same source of data.

Stop complaining there. If you don't like working at QC, just find another job and get out.

Look at what happened at another company:

https://www.thelayoff.com/riverbed-technology

Some people are happier they left earlier so that they don't have to compete for the same

job with their former coworkers. If QC really lays off 5K people, or even 1K, many people

with similar background and experience would compete for the same job.

Why not act earlier? In the Fall, it will fall. The ax will fall, stock price will fall, your job will

fall. Some lucky ones will fall with golden parachutes, but most will have free fall.
