Thread regarding Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. layoffs

Get a life and another job

You moronic and obviously bitter unemployed idiot. Spend more time looking for another opportunity and less time bashing your former employer.

Ok, we get it, you and others lost your jobs. That sucks, but it happens in corporations. In the end it's a business and tough times are cause for tough measures.

You act like your Edward Snowden and you have all this information, you don't have shit except to much time on your hands. Go mow the lawn, go plant some flowers, but please, most importantly go and look for a job. Your spending way to much time making charts and graphs and other dumb shit on your stupid twitter page. Use that talent on your resume and most importantly stop hiding behind anonymous posts you coward.

nice one, whoever you are... I would request you to sit back and think about what all led us to this problem.. you will then understand the frustration of people here on this website...

@ "Sincerely, everyone else still employed": "Tough times are cause for tough measures"? What "tough times"? I thought Allscripts was doing so well? At least that's what Paul Black tells everyone. In case you missed it, here's a direct quote from his Q2 2015 earnings call: "We are very pleased with the results this quarter. Bookings, revenue and profitability are improving on all metrics. Bookings were at record levels. Recurring revenue continues to grow. Gross margins at the highest level since early 2014 and we are seeing continued operating leverage with both a strong EPS performance and cash flow growth. Bookings were up – were $260 million for the quarter, an all-time record for the second quarter and up 11% from Q2 of last year. Year-to-date bookings are up 6%."

I mean, if it was "tough times" for Allscripts, how could he to take millions in bonuses for himself? Maybe by dumping US staff and hiring bottom feeders in India? Or by overcharging clients and then giving them crap products? Or by breaching contracts with vendors? (The contract thing didn't work out so hot, though. Bummer about losing the lawsuit)

Your advice to "spend more time looking for another opportunity" reeks of some smug, mid-level crony who thinks it can't happen to him. I'm sure WJ thought that, too.

Tough times in business. I would label this mismanagement to the max!! This company has thick layers of middle management. It has 3 corporate locations!!! Come on now. It's time to shut down two of these locations and centralize. Then there is the lawsuit we lost with Etransmedia. Multi Million dollar loss never does well. How about how Allscripts messed over it's MyWay clients! This is an another action arising from an expensive, but defective electronic health records software product, “MyWay,” sold by Allscripts to approximately 5,000 physicians at a cost of approximately $40,000 per user. Rather than remedy the product’s inherent defects, Allscripts announced that it was removing the product from the market. This lawsuit seeks to recover the damages suffered by MyWay users as a result of Allscripts’ wrongful actions. I hope the clients when this one because every Allscripts employee that works with these migrated clients knows the deal. These client for the most part are struggling. Then there are the repeated complaints that we receive from our clients and are reflected in surveys. You want to say tough times in business but I say mismanagement through and through. Paul Black....go back to where you came from!

I was also laid off. I was informed during the call (by a SVP) that I will get a severance package. However, HR later retracted and said there will be no severance package and said they are sorry for the miscommunication. I worked for 11 months and was told I need 12 months of service. The whole thing was done so poorly, and very unprofessional.

Shut the hell up. Who ever made this post has to be a dumb ass cracker! This is bigger than a layoff. This has effected so many families. Some are left wondering what is next. You may think it's easy to just apply and get another job, but wait until it is your turn. As soon as you finish kissing ass you will be next. So don't worry about what is being said or how anyone feels.

Agree, as well. Everyone needs to move on and focus on the future, either with Allscripts or w/out....both can be bright and fruitful.

I agree. I understand the anger and frustration with the lay-offs but carrying on in this manner for going on 2 weeks is a little much. Good people were let go but name calling and bashing people (potentially libelous?) doesn't help the argument for why you should still have a job.

Sounds like managers. While I could do without the mudslinging, keep posting. People post anonymously because they know they will be targeted and lose their jobs for speaking up!
