Hearing very strong rumors for June 2nd. Private meetings on all VPs. Looks like we are only worried about wall street and no growth or stability for the company we built.

A lot has changed in the world since Bob left and a successful company will need a talented and robust workforce to adapt to the future (think multi-channel). Did cuts need to happen? of course, but there wasn't any logic put into the March cuts. Just lop off the most compensated and tenured talent with a few others peppered in to avoid law suits.
If they keep cutting the only thing left in the building will be the downtown cock roaches
It's simple. Target hasn't been in the business of selling merchandise since Bob left. No need to have a lot of head count.
