I worked at the CSC as a contractor, hoping for a permanent position. A number of us are being let go as well. My group and the group before us are getting slimmed down.. We were told just a couple weeks ago our positions were safe from the cuts as they they saw our group expanding in the future with more and more stores going to SFS, STS, and SPU.. Currently they have 136 or so store going to those processes. They're expecting to expand to 400+ soon. So we felt that was looking good for us.. So much for what we knew..

I don't understand why the company invests so much into contractors! They have no investment with Target. I am not saying they are bad employees, but you generally do not see the level of commitment and work ethics by a contractor than you would see in a Target employee. There are many Target employees who would take a lower pay to stay with the company.
Contractors are always a bane to a company given they have no vested interested but to draw out their contract.
No safe place anywhere.... ditch the dollar and do the barter system
